Shutterfly Holiday Cards
Shutterfly has the best holiday cards I've seen from a photo website. I just ordered mine there and got to choose a super cute layout with one picture on the front, and 6 more on the inside! There was even enough room for me to describe what the pictures were about so my family and friends can keep up with what we've been up to all year. Check it out!

Staples Back To School Deals for Next Week
Staples will have multipurpose paper for $0.01 after Easy Rebate (and they are really easy) limit 2. I'm not sure if the limit applies to the week before last's deal on the same item, or if it's a new deal so you can do it again. I'll find out and let you know. . . Yep, it's a new deal, so you can get 2 more packs and still get the rebate!!
Also, they will have ball point pens for $0.01/8 pk limit 2 (teachers' limit 25) with $5 in store purchase. You can buy your multipurpose paper 2 @ $4.99 each (before rebate) to meet that requirement!
And. . . the best deal EVER!!! I did this last year and it was fantastic: buy ANY backpack and get 100% of the purchase price back in Staples Rewards!! That makes it completely FREE!! I got a really nice backpack last year, so I don't know if I need to do it this year or not, but maybe I could get one and donate it to charity. You must have a Staples Rewards account, and give your card or phone number to the sales person when you purchase and your "check" will come in a few months. You have to spend it at Staples, but who doesn't constantly need printer ink, right???
They will also have the following items for $0.25 each:
~Zebra retractable Gel Pens, black, 5pk, after easy rebate, limit 1
~Staples Hype pen style assorted Highlighters, 6pk, limit 2, no rebate required
~0.14 liter Really Useful box, limit 2, no rebate required
And finally, Staples has a 4GB USB Flash Drive for $9.99!

$12 for $25 worth of food @ Habaneros through Groupon
Habaneros is a restaurant in one of the new shopping centers south of I-20 on Cooper that we've been meaning to try. What better time to try than when we can get 52% off buy buying this Groupon!! AND, since someone I know signed up and purchased a Groupon recently, I got $10 off, so it was only $2!!! SWEET DEAL!
***FYI it took me a long time to complete my purchase. . . I think the site is having issues today. Stick with it, or try again later, it's worth it!!

Good School Supply Deals @ Office Max
$0.25 limit 3 for each of the following items:
~ Glue (package with 1 bottle and 2 sticks)
~Pencil Sharpener
~Sharpie Singles
$0.20 limit 3, for kid scissors
$0.50 limit 3 Bic Cristal Pens
In my experience, they are not as teacher-friendly with the increased limits, but still a great deal on some things. I'm going to get some Sharpies!! Remember, you can go back and max out your limit each day or go to multiple locations if you need lots of stuff, as long as they are still in stock.

Group Discount Programs
I'm totally diggin' the new group discount programs that are popping up. I've already shared with you my excitement about Groupon in a previous post, but I've found two more websites that do the same thing. Mamapedia Sweet Deals and Living Social. Everyday there's a new deal, and if the minimum number of participants is met, then the deal is on, and you get a great deal on whatever it is that's offered that day. So far I've purchased a painting class, chiropractic massages, carpet cleaning, and tickets to the Texas Discovery Gardens through these sites at amazing discounts. Businesses participate and offer these deals in hopes of reaching new long term customers, and customers get a super deal so it's a win-win! Ok, the two new sites I've found are:
Mamapedia Sweet Deals: In addition to a great deal , you also get to designate a school or preschool to receive 5% of your purchase! Bonus!
Living Social shows you other things to do in your city of choice, like top rated restaurants and places to go, as well as offering a fantastic deal on something.
Also, all three sites offer a referral incentive program. Groupon gives you $10 when someone you have invited gets their first Groupon. Mamapedia Sweet Deals gives you a $10 credit when your friends join and place their first order, and Living Social gives you your deal FREE if three of your friends buy the same deal.

FREE Mr. Sketch Scented Markers @ Office Depot!
Don't all teachers LOVE these markers??? I do. If you're not a teacher, but you know one, or your kids have one, I bet they'd like them too. They write on charts really nicely, and they smell sooooooooo good!! It is a rebate offer, so you have to send off for the rebate to make them FREE, but I always appreciate those "surprise" checks when I'm least expecting it for something that I bought months ago. . . :) I went yesterday, and they still had about 10 pkgs of them at the store on Little Rd. They also have a FREE stapler deal but they were out of them when I was there. Check though, because they might have some when you go!

Staples 1 cent Sales are Back!
I've been checking the ad every week, and it's finally here! Stapes 1 cent sale starts next week, however they've added a catch this year: there is a $5 minimum purchase. . . booooo!! I don't know if I'm gong to participate or not because I'm so bummed about the minimum purchase requirement. Maybe with a teacher's ID, they will waive the minimum purchase????????? I'll try in on Sunday and let you know.
Next week, Sunday - Wednesday only (7/11-7/14), you can get:
Pocket/Brad Folders for $0.01 limit 10 per household
8pk Pencils for $0.01 limit 2 per household
500sheet multipurpose Paper for $0.01 after rebate limit 2 per household (teachers won't be able to get more
because it's a rebate on this one)
Teachers have always gotten a much higher limit in the past with ID or a teacher's reward card. I think you could get 25 of each thing. . .
There's also lots of stuff on sale for $1, including an 8x10 dry erase board and sticky notes. These things can count toward your $5 minimum for the $0.01 deals, PLUS, there's a coupon in the ad for $5 off $30.
Update: Yes, the limit is 25 for teachers w/ID or Staples Teacher Rewards, and yes, you do still have to meet the minimum $5 purchase. I bought 1 ream of paper for $4.99, a Sharpie marker for $0.99, and 25 pkgs of pencils, and 25 folders. My total was $7.00 and I will get $4.98 back by Easy Rebate making my cost for all that only $2.02!!! Staples has a really easy rebate system where you don't even have to mail anything in. You just go online and enter 2 numbers off of the rebate reciept and enter your address, and poof! All done!

Super deals at the Cheesecake Factory!!
Ohmygosh, I can hardly contain my self because I LOVE the Cheesecake factory, and they rarely ever have any deals or discounts, but. . .
1. Go to facebook and "fan" the Cheesecake Factory. Then it will take you to the Fan Exclusive tab, where you will be directed to print out a coupon for a slice of their new flavor: Reeses Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake. With the coupon, on Thursday, July 29th ONLY, you can get a slice of it for only $1.50.
2. Every summer they do a promotion for National Cheesecake Day, on July 30th. You can go in and get 1/2 all cheesecake slices when you dine in.
Also on the facebook page, there's a silly quiz to find out your "perfect cheesecake match," and you can be really mean and send your friends virtural slices of cheesecake if you want to make them drool. :)

Retailmenot.com
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER pay retail prices on line unless you've checked out retailmenot.com first!! Just search for the store you're purchasing from and most often, a coupon code will come up to save you some money. I just ordered some pictures from CVS, and checked retailmenot.com before I checked out and saved $2.50! I was going to buy the pictures anyway, but I got them cheaper because I took a moment to check the site.

Blockbuster Express FREE Rental Codes
If you haven't tried these Blockbuster kiosks yet, you'll love them. They're just like Redbox (which I LOVE); $1 per movie, per night. Also, they have movies available on the first day they come out, whereas Redbox has to wait a little while on certain movies before they can offer them. You'll find the Blockbuster kiosks inside QuickTrip gas stations. Have you seen them at other places? Leave a comment and let everyone know where else we can find them!
Here's your FREE movie rental codes:

Groupon.com
This is a pretty cool website. It has a different "deal of the day" everyday. The way the company gets such great deals is through the power of numbers, so if enough people sign up to take advantage of that day's deal, it makes, and you can save lots of money on fun things to do in your area. I just purchased a painting class with some of my girlfriends for girl's night and we all got more than 1/2 off the regular price. Fun and a deal, it doesn't get better than that!!

Pinkberry Review
Well, I was really excited to try the new froyo place in the Highlands, Pinkberry. So, I took the fam, and we went there tonight after dinner. Cute, modern atmosphere, clean look, friendly people, but loud music. I tried the original, pomegranite, mango, and coconut before we ordered. I settled on the coconut, my husband got mango and my son got chocolate. Alex topped his chocolate with dark chocolate crisps, fruity pebbles, and strawberries. Marcos topped his mango with mochi (chewy, fun sweet bits of rice cake; kind of like a soft gummy bear with a mild sweet flavor) and kiwi. I topped my coconut with raspberries, blackberries, and milk chocolate shavings. I was impressed with the variety of fresh fruits and cool toppings, but I did not like the "signature tang" that all the flavors had. My first thought when I tasted the samples was: sour milk. . . yuck, but that's what yogurt actually is, right? So, overall it was a cool place, great toppings, and awesome calorie count, but I will not go back on purpose because I'm not a fan of the sour milk/tang thing. If I do find myself there again though, I'd get the chocolate because when I tasted my son's, the "tang" was kind of covered up by the chocolate flavor. Bottom line, glad I tried it, but I prefer gelato!

Just Between Friends: Children's and Maternity Consignment
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these sales!!!!!!! Just Between Friends is a company that you can be a consignor for or just a shopper. They come around in the Spring and Fall and I love going to the 1/2 price days and getting Alex an entire new wardrobe for the next season for less than a $100. The clothes are a little more expensive than garage sale prices, but so worth it to me because I don't have to drive from sale to sale and sort through until I find clean, nice clothes in his size. At this sale everything is organized by size and gender, on hangers and there is never any torn or stained clothes (they don't accept them)!!! If you live around here, the Arlington sale will be in the old Petsmart building on Arkansas Ln. March 19-21. Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 8am-5pm, and Sunday (1/2 off day) 9am-5pm. If you're a teacher or first time parent or grand parent, you can get in early on Thursday evening for the presale from 8:30-10pm (just sign up online and bring ID). My plan is to go Thursday evening and get some of those "look brand new, can't live without, super cute outfits" and then go back on Sunday for the 1/2 price sale and stock up on the rest of his summer clothes. They also have toys, maternity, and all the baby gear you could ever need. They sales all over the country so go to the site to see if there's one near you. I highly recommend that you go check this out, I promise you won't be disappointed and you'll be a fan like me!!

Free Redbox code for St. Patrick's Day!!
ALDI
Yesterday in the Star Telegram was a big article about the new discount grocery store, Aldi, coming to the DFW area. They are opening several stores on Thursday, and I can't wait to check it out. After doing some more research on their website, here's what I've learned so far:
~The store doesn't carry any name brand products, only their own "house brands" but they are significantly
cheaper than similar products elsewhere.
~You have to bring your own bags or pay for paper ones at a nickel each, plastic for a dime, or insulated
frozen food bags for a dollar
~ You have to pay a quarter to "rent" a cart.
~The website estimates that you can do about 90% of your household grocery shopping here. That's
certainly a downfall for me because I'm a Walmart gal (no hate mail please) because it's a one-stop
shopping experience and my time is more valuable to me than anything else.
~Only Cash, Food Stamps, and Debit cards are accepted
~ You bag your own groceries
~They are not open 24 hours- most likely 9-8 and 12-5 on Sundays
Do you shop at an Aldi? Let me know what you like/dislike about it and if I've got all my info right.
I'm leery of the only "house brands" thing, but bags are not an issue. I think everyone should be using their own bags by now, a quarter for a cart is weird, but doesn't deter me, and bagging my own groceries is no biggie. Paying cash/debit keeps me out of debt , but the hours may affect me. Sometimes I'm a late night shopper. Overall it seems there's a lot of reasons why I won't be shopping there, but I'm strangely excited to check it out on Thursday.
I'll update with my thoughts after I've visited the one in Pantego on Thursday.

$10 back at Uptown Village at Cedar Hill
Interesting information I found out about Uptown Village at Cedar Hill. . . "Rain? It's your lucky day. We want your shopping experience to be extraordinary at Uptown Village at Cedar Hill — even if it rains. Not only do we offer free umbrellas for use while you’re shopping; we’ll also give you a free $10 Gift Card when you turn in three receipts from a rainy day. Turn in receipts or pick up umbrellas at the Guest Services Kiosk (located at The Village Green across from Barnes and Noble)."
CHEAP Pictures
Snapfish has 50 prints for 50 pennies! Shipping will be about $3-4 bucks. If you divide that by the 50 pics, that comes out to be about $0.07 each. Not bad! Use code NEWYEAR50 when you check out.
